Flexible Diamond Abrasive Tools were developed to combine the long life and aggressive cutting of diamonds with nonmetallic cloth and backing materials, providing strength and flexibility. This enables easy polishing and grinding of various hard materials such as natural and synthetic stones, ceramics, composites, superhard coatings, ceramics, glass, and metals.

Application

These tools are ideal for quick and economical grinding, shaping, or smoothing on tough or brittle surfaces. Common applications include polishing and grinding natural and synthetic stones, ceramics, composites, superhard coatings, glass, and metals. They are suitable for use as discs, belts, hand pads, sandpaper sheets, and blocks for wet or dry operations.

Bond Types: Metal nickel plating, CBN bonded, and resin bonded (both flexible and hard types).

Pattern: Various dot patterns for sharpness, durability, and efficient grinding. Large dots reduce loading, medium dots improve coolant flow and removal, small dots maximize stock removal on very hard materials.

Backing Base: Thickness, softness, and temperature resistance of the backing can be chosen according to the materials to be ground for optimal performance.
